I have a folder of things to do each day. Now that it's gotten so busy this close to Christmas, I have a clear page protector for each day before Christmas and put that days coupons, recipes, lists, etc. in it to be done.
After the meal has been eaten and the last of the leftovers stowed in the fridge, we host a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt. It helps us burn off some calories and keeps the kids occupied for 20 minutes or so.

The turkey is stuffed, the pies are baked, and the places are set. Now all that's left is filling the time between when the guests arrive and the bird is carved.
As your Thankgiving guests arrive give each a paper fall leaf to write a "thankful" thought on. Have them drop them in a clear vase or fishbowl. They needn't sign it unless they want to. Then, if there are only a few, read them before the meal, or after, or hang them up for all to see.
