Trapping Racoons With Marshmallows

Coons love marshmallows. You can use mini ones or cut up a big one. Leave a trail to a cage and put quite a few in the cage. Try to drop them in the middle or the coons just stick their paws in there and grab them. My neighbor and I have just trapped #8.

That's what our trapper used with the last raccoon he caught. They have damaged our roof so much we had to have the roof replaced because they chewed 7 holes in it and several got in the upstairs. I told my husband it would be cheaper to just leave marshmallows out as treats rather then them getting on the roof and destroying the new wood and shingles...lol. We use to think they were cute little critters but no longer.

I'll certainly remember this tip for next year. The raccoons got all of our grapes this year so next year, we'll be ready for them.
