Treating Stains on Delicate Linens

A christening gown made from an old wedding dress. This is a very old way to remove stains or whiten natural fabrics. Gently launder then lay item on a lush area of grass in direct sunlight. Somehow the combination of sun and chlorophyll released by grass causes the whitening. If stain is stubborn, lemon juice can be sprayed on spot. I will be using this method to whiten this christening gown I am making out of my 40 year old wedding dress for my granddaughter.

Will the treatment with the grass work on a very light yellow blouse. One of my favorite, The stain looks as if it could be black chalk very light. But, I don't remember getting the stain on it. I've tried about 6 things mostly things I use in the regular wash but they did not help. The blouse is a Mountain Lake. 60% cotton an 40% rayon can machine wash.
