Troubleshooting Kenmore Refrigerator Ice Maker

I have a Kenmore refrigerator with an automatic ice maker. I have water pressure to the refrigerator, but not from the unit (little blue unit) from the bottom of the fridge to the ice maker. My model number for the fridge is EM432537.

My ice maker was giving me trouble and this guy I worked with told me to put a valve between the main water supply and refrigerator and turn it about a 1/4 turn at 1st then adjust. I have had this ice maker about 3 years, not one bit of trouble. (06/23/2009)
