Use BBQ Tongs to Retrieve Items

I have a reacher/grabber that I used to retrieve things from the floor or that was out of my reach, but it is limited in the things I can use it for. For example, if an item is heavy or large, the grabber doesn't do a very good job. I hit on the idea of using long metal BBQ tongs. It really grabs what I need and I can keep it right by my chair. There is a metal thingy that holds it shut when not in use.
