Use Silica Packets in Bathroom

I like to keep silica packets in the bathroom. There is more moisture there than anywhere in your house. You know how sometimes the drawers in your vanity or under the sink storage area gets kind of musty smelling? Keep a few of the little packets in there to control dampness and odor.

Brilliant idea! Thank you so much! I have a few stashed in a jar and, besides computer items, I wondered if i should just toss them. Do they work similar to Damp-Rid? Because I have one of those in my laundry room because my washing machine is older and leaks small amounts of water which make the place frustratingly musty.

Thank you for this idea! I never thought about adding the silica packets to the bathroom drawers, but it does make a lot of sense and I can't wait to tell my elderly mother about this idea you have presented to us here on ThirtyFun!
