My RV has got little, biting black bugs. They are not fleas or ticks, but they bite like them. I asked a pet shop owner what he would do. He suggested that I try the original, yellow Listerine. He uses it at his pet shop to kill mites, fleas and ticks. I did, and it works!
I put some in a spray bottle to spray around the RV, on the dog, and on us. Yellow Listerine does not stain fabric nor is it harmful to humans and pets. One has to keep using it for a while because the eggs left hatch into nymphs. They bite too, but the yellow Listerine does kill them all.

I found out the other day, when I was trying to get blood out of a white fabric, that if I sprayed it with the Listerine, the mint kind, the stain came right out, like it dissolved the stain.
Use Listerine to clean glass. If you haven't tried it you should! I use this on glass, countertops, pet messes, and toilets. It's very inexpensive and all you need is a spray bottle with half Listerine and half water.
To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few drops of Listerine - a powerful antiseptic.

Can someone please tell me that if you use Listerine on your toe fungus - can you reuse the same Listerine again. I soaked in it but it is so expensive to buy, I do not want to keep buying it.
Once you use it, it becomes contaminated and shouldn't be used again. Saturate a cotton ball with it and apply thoroughly. Let air dry. Does Listerine really work for this?
My husband uses listerine for his toe nailfungus and is working great. He has a bottle of listerine that he uses ONLY for this purpose. He put a little in a dish and uses a cotton ball to apply.
I used it and it worked I put some on right after I showered everyday with a q tip for weeks I could not seeing paying the price for the med at the store and a friend told me Listerine works and it did.
Has anyone every tried the homemade remedy for repelling mosquitoes using Listerine? If so, does it really work? I tried it and it didn't seem to work. How is it made?

It did not work for me either. I diluted it at first, didn't work. Then sprayed it full strength, maybe worked for less than five minutes, then had to spray again.
I have tried it and have found that it does work, The key thing to remembe is you want to use the green colored listerene not the goldish looking kind, the ingredent that does the trick is the eucalyptis and th menthol. Other brands work as good likes scope or even generic.
I have been using listerine for mosquito for awhile now and I am amazed at how good it works. I would use it at family gatherings, spray my back yard before people would arrive and no one would complain about being bit at all, it really works. I didn't believe it would work at first but now I am a believer.
Mix Listerine with fresh squeezed lemon juice....or just rub lemons on you...works wonders..I can't remember what parts but will try to find my recipe and get back to you...Avon Skin So Soft used to work the best...but the skeeters are outgrowing it or it's made different...doesn't seem to work anymore..but lemon feels good and smells good and WORKS...
I am using the baby oil, Listerine, and water as my dog itches all the time. I want to know how often do I use it? Thank you.

A better solution to the itching would be to find out what's causing it. Your dog may have food allergies (wheat, corn & soy are common), and no amount of bathing him will stop the itch.
I heard something about using Listerine to help get rid of fleas. Yesterday I got the Listerine and now I can't find the article. Can someone help?

Many people recommend Listerine as a general sanitizer, but it is untested scientifically. It has too low an alcohol content to be effective in killing bacteria and viruses on surfaces. I bought a small pump spray and filled it with Listerine. It has so many uses!
Dilute the mouthwash half and half with water and spray it around the perimeter of the area you are sitting in and the pesky bugs will keep away.
The best and least toxic way to rid your outdoor area of nasty mosquitoes is with Listerine (the original Amber colored kind.)
Put some Listerine in a small spray bottle and spray everywhere to keep mosquitoes away!
