Using E-Cigarettes to Quit Smoking?

If E-cigarettes aren't bad for health are they the best option for quitting smoking?

I seriously tried 7 times to stop smoking. I could go 3 months but then everything would fall apart. It didn't matter if I went cold turkey or had tablets from the doctor. Even a second script of the tablets (which meant 6 months without cigarettes) made no difference.
My doctor sent me to a psychiatrist. Seeing her was the best thing I could have done. Turned out I had a very real physical reaction to depression.
She put me on anti depressants for 6 months and then I tried again. I have been smoke free for 4 years now. I may have the occasional craving but it last seconds only. I don't know about E-Cigarettes but they wouldn't break the action of smoking. What ever you decide I wish you well.
