Using Space Heater Blew Power to Part of House?

I rent an old 2 story farm house. I have been here since August 2014 and haven't had any problems till one day I had an electric heater plugged up in the laundry room and all of a sudden the fans/lights went off. Now fans/lights aren't working and 1 outlet in 3 rooms. Nothing in the laundry room works. All of these are on the bottom floor. The second floor works fine. I have checked all the breakers, changed them around (no bad ones) and no GFI outlet, that I can find anywhere. The house is very old, but has had some electrical work redone. Please help.

If you overloaded the circuit you either
blew a fuse
tripped a breaker
tripped a GFCI or AFCI
or
burned up wiring or a wiring connection

Check for fuses or breakers - possibly a sub panel.

It may be that an electrician will be required to find the open in the circuit. Someone could have put a pigtail fuse in a box somewhere! When it comes to electricity, some installers can get very creative in the way the wiring gets installed.
