Value of Chambers Encyclopedia 1973?

I have a set of 15 Chambers encyclopedias from 1973 in very good condition. I was wondering if these are worth anything?

No. Old encyclopedia are not worth anything. It is difficult to give them away. Sometimes people use them for crafts, such as paper carving or for lamps. Advertise on something like freecycle to see if someone will take them off your hands. No charity will take them.

I do not necessarily agree with the author's assessment with respect to encyclopedias being worthless. For example, I happen to own a set of 1954 or 55 encyclopedias entitled "Great Books of the Western World" by Encyclopedia Brittanica.

The 54 book set can be quite valuable in used condition; and, my set was from the first year of printing, in which only 800 sets were printed (cannot recall if it was 54 or 55?). I gladly purchased those complete first editions for $300. Bob

I have a set of World Book Encyclopedias dictionary and Atlas that are 50 years old good condition what are they worth
