What Breed Are My Dogs?

Can you please help? We adopted both of these gorgeous dogs from high kill shelters in Tennessee. The little tan one is Ziva who is 13 weeks old.

The black and white one is Huck who is going to be 1 year in April and is 36 lbs. Any input would be very appreciated!Black and white speckled dog.

You're little guy looks to be beagle husky mix. No doubt on the husky. Beagle could be any sort of hound though as many have similar marking. Both are supreme athletes so be sure you take control as pack leader immediately or he will be calling you from the warden's office to bail him out often! He will need lots of walks and play.

The other has character of a german pointer Another athlete and hunting dog. There is also a springer spaniel look to him but is so dominant that idk the mix to get the short hair.

A good investment is to research these breeds to know how to train and treat them as the amazing breeds they are.

Huck looks exactly like my dog and she's a Cattle dog, German Shorthaired Pointer, and Hound dog mix. I got mine in Southern Wv and she just turned one in February. I can tell you she is the most AMAZING dog!!!

If you ever want to chat about them, feel free to email me at meverly2010@gmail.com. The other baby definitely has husky because he of the eyes, but it looks like a husky terrier mix.

And the previous answer is right.... He is a herding breed and 2 hunting breeds. They need A LOT of exercise, so it's good you have 2. I also recommend getting some games or a snuffle pad for them. (They say 10 minutes of them trying to figure them out is equal to 1 hr walk). I also often hide treats all over while mine are outside and let them sniff them out.. (They are soo good at it and love it.) This is my Athena and her best friend. She was about 33 pds at her last vet appt.

She's very hard to get pictures of because she's always moving unless she's sleeping.
