We are considering adopting a dog. We are doing a trial run this weekend. The shelter says this dog is a Boxer mix. I see a lot of Pit Bull and I'm afraid a mix if the two is more dog than I can handle. They say she's around 7 months old and she weighs 27 pounds. She snorts a lot on walks, like a pig, and snores when she sleeps. Lol She is good around cats and other dogs. Thanks!

I see Pit Bull also. Boxer maybe, a lot of people claim Pittie's as boxer or other bull breeds because of their bad press. What it all comes down to is you make the dog, pup seems to have a alert appearance and is probably very smart, if it gets along with other animals and people that's a major plus. Shows a good out look on life. If pup is 7 months it has a lot of it's size, probably will still get a little taller and fill out more, but doesn't look like it's going to be real huge. Like I said you and what you teach are the most important factor in whether you can handle any dog.
