I don't know his breed, can anyone help me? The people I got him from said he was a lab/shepherd but I am not sure.

What a cutie. You can purchase a dna kit from Jeffers for about $60 that should give you the answer.
He looks kinda like a doxie/dachshund because of the tail. Mixed...with pit bull?
I don't know but he sure is cute! I'd keep him no matter what!
I think there is a 3rd breed in the mix, some sort of hound - maybe dachshund, but I can see the lab and shepherd. There just seems to be more from his ears and markings/color.

I think your puppy might be part Rhodesian Ridgeback. The tail, ears and color remind me of one. But like another person said, a better pic would be most helpful. You might want to do a search on Google images for "Rhodesian Ridgeback" or "Rhodesian Ridgeback mix" and see if they look like your adorable little guy.
