The dog looks like a rat terrier mix. I have one and she had the same markings. Ours has a sharper nose and is a little thinner. It might be part Australian sheep dog, too.
That dog looks just like my friends two dogs, which she refers to as Australian Cattle Herders.
The faded black and gray spots look like the ones that our previous dog sported on his coat. A clerk at the vet's office thought he might be part pointer.
