I think they have a bit of Jack Russel and staffy in there. He's a bute.
What size is he? I have a similar dog that is rat terrier mix with chi that looks a lot like your kid.
If you really want to know the exact breed[s], do what I did. Go Mars Vetrinary and order their "Insight" DNA kit. The are very reasonable [65. to 75.] Then follow the instructions exactly. Mars has been around a long time and are one of the two most accurate and trusted dog DNA sources there are.
It was a lot of fun to do and the results were full of aha moments. My dog turned out to be 60% German Shepherd, 25% Bernese Mountain Dog and 15% Saluki.
