What Breed is My Dog?

We bought this dog at 1 1/2 weeks old and we are not sure exactly what breed he is. We were told that he was a mix of Labrador and Boxer. But when we took Havaac to the vet we were told he might have some Pit Bull in him because of his blue eyes and his color.

Looks like a pit mix to me. Did you see the parents? Isn't 1 1/2 weeks awfully young to take a pup from mom? He is a cutie & I love the name!

He's definitely got pit in him. Blue pit. Could be some lab mixed in there. He'll be a very loyal dog. He'll want "jobs" to do so train him really well.

Try fetch or frisbee once he's out of the chewing stage.

What a beautiful dog! I a bought an American red nose pit bull terrier and yes that is a good loyal dog. We have a female and she is so anxious make sure to train your dog to do heavy duty activities, our female is very un-active and looks boney. Your pit will get boney if you don't keep active - our dog loves loves loves loves people. Don't mind what people say about pits they are very loyal dogs and any dog can be taught to other love or hate people its the owner who does the teaching- if you have kids its okay to keep the dog! Omg what a beauty though - how much did you pay? I paid 350$ for my dog!

Your dog's face does look more like pit bull, but that coloring tells me he is part Weimaraner or blue pit bull. The lab could be in there somewhere but it is not showing in him right now.

Please post a photo of him when he gets a little bigger. That will probably tell us, by how he shapes up, just what your lovely gray doggie is made of. Love him!

I see a little bit of boxer in the feet and the forehead, and some pit in the face. Pits are one of the most loyal and funny best dogs you can have. I also see some lab and some kind of blue color mix. What a beautiful dog you have. I assume you meant one and a half months rather than weeks, and if not I assume you bottle fed him.

What a lovely furbaby you have. I would be always there snapping pics of him, he has the sweetest expression!

Warning though....they have a way of attaching to your heart and mind, in a way that makes you forget about all other kinds of dogs. You may never want any other kind of dog again! <3

I'm sure you meant 6 weeks (1-1/2 months old)... He is beautiful! Definitely see some pit (blue eyes), but you'll be better able to tell when he gets a bit older! Just love love love him & make sure he gets a lot of exercise! Cannot be lazy with this type dog! He will be such a joy & probably already is! Good luck with him! Enjoy the puppy stage! Strong chew toys & a soft bed! :-)
