My dog's body and tail are clearly not Lab, but he sometimes looks like a Lab in his face.

What an adorable FurBaby! I'd say he is Lab. If mixed with any other breed, it'd be hard to say but guessing I'd say maybe some sort of Shepard.
He looks part lab to me.
