Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 pkgs. dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • Ad
  • 6-8 cups white flour
  • 2 cups wheat flour

Directions:

Mix yeast with 1/2 cup warm water and 1 tablespoon sugar. Let rest 15-20 minutes. In large bowl, mix water, honey, salt, and oil well. Add yeast mixture, 1 cup white flour, and 2 cups wheat flour. Gradually add 5-7 cups more white flour, mixing well after each addition. Knead, adding wheat flour as necessary. Let rise twice. Form into loaves and let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
