I have this winter formal dance to go to and, us girls, we have to ask the guys to go to the dance. I have no clue on how to ask this guy I really like to go to the dance with me.
The best way is directly. Ask him yourself; don't ask a friend to do it for you. Try to get him when he is by himself, smile, and ask him if he'd like to accompany you. I'll bet he says yes!
56 years ago I had to ask a guy to a Sadie Hawkins dance. I was a junior in high school. That guy and I just celebrated 50 years of marriage this year! Just ask him face to face. It was scary for me but I am so glad I did it!
Now we know how men must feel when first asking for a date!
First of all, I'd ask him if he is going to the formal; if he is already booked then you both need not be embarrassed by a refusal. Be interested in his response, and say you haven't quite decided yet whom to ask. A little white lie can save face.
One line a friend uses is to walk up to the guy she is interested in, tilts her head and smiles coyly, and then asks him if he'd like to get married or would he rather go on a date with her to whatever event is appropriate for the moment -- like in a bar, she saunters sweetly up to him, smiles and says, "Would like to get married or would you rather just dance with me?" Works every time.
This is our winter formal where girls ask guys! How should I ask a good friend who does rodeo to it, in a cute way?

If he is a good friend, why can't you just ask him? I don't understand why people think everything has to done in a cute way.
This is a page about asking your boyfriend to a dance. Asking your boyfriend to a dance can be really fun if you come up with some creative invitation ideas.
