| Combine Errands to Save Gas
To cut down on driving, keep a list of all the errands you need to run. Don't make a trip until you can combine at least a couple errands.

| Getting Things Done Around the House
I've been reading on this site for probably a month. I hope someone out there can help me. I can't seem to keep up with all that needs done around the house. I do work full time so by evening just the basics of dinner/cleanup and homework get done. My husband had to move two years ago with his job of 28 years so usually weekends are spent on the road for me. I need more time management, better oraganizing skills, simple living tips, and more of me to go around.

| Excuses For Gossipy Callers
Gossip anyone? I always keep a timer in my pocket when I'm at home. When my friends call with the intention to gossip, I just ring the timer in my pocket and apologize that I must hang up to check the food in my oven.

| Organizing Serving Bowls, Platters and Utensils
As I get out the dishes for the holiday dinners, I also take out the serving bowls and utensils I will need. I put a little note in each bowl, i.e. cranberries, stuffing. etc. so when I am serving up food I don't have to fumble around finding the right size bowl at the last minute...

Have you ever heard the old saying 'time is money'? To be perfectly honest with you, that saying is incredibly misleading.

Schedule doctor's appointments for first morning appointment. You will not have to wait as long and you won't get a sleepy doctor right after lunch.

| I'm Late, I'm Late-For a Very Important Date
By Maria Gracia
Do you sometimes feel like the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland? One of the most memorable scenes was that frantic rabbit hysterically shouting, 'I'm late, I'm late--for a very important date.'

| Checking On Appointments - Call Ahead
Before leaving your house for any appointment, call ahead and see if they are on time. If the doctor is running say, 30 min. late, inform the staff that you will arrive 30 min. late. It's only fair!

| Plan Errands Around Doctor Appointments
When the doctor tells you he wants to see you in a specified time, don't have the receptionist automatically make the appointment then. You can ask if it is imperative that it has to be the exact date.
Check your schedule and coordinate other things you can do on the day you make your appointment, be organized and save on gasoline and your time.
