Dog Friendly Oatmeal "Raisin" Cookies
Knowing that raisins can kill dogs, I created a more dog friendly oatmeal cookie. All you have to do is, substitute blueberries instead of raisins in oatmeal cookies. Use your favorite oatmeal cookie recipe without the raisin option.

Avoid Leftovers By Getting a Dog
I am always reading how people are finding ways of using up leftovers, I never have that dilemma. My solution - get a dog! I have two wonderful. healthy dogs who have been brought up on leftovers (always plentiful as we have a family of 7).

Make Your Own Dog Chews
Make your own dog chews. Pig ears are often available at Asian, Mexican, or local butcher markets. Clean them under running tap water, scrubbing well. A little soap wouldn't hurt, but rinse well.

Pet Food Canning Recipes
Next spring, our family will be raising a whopping 400 Cornish cross broiler chickens (I know, that's a lot!). Most will be canned, frozen, or shared with family. However, since I'll be busy canning anyways, I would really like to be able to prepare healthy, balanced dog and cat food out of the chicken (with fruits, veggies, etc.) that I can pressure can and store. Any tips?

Good Enough for the Queen's Dog
What is good enough for the queen's dog is good enough for my pug. Our Pug was suffering from very bad skin allergies. It was so bad that there were raw patches in her skin. So we took her to the vet and they took care of the symptoms, but not the source.
