Frugal Valentine's Notebooks
I have eleven grandchildren, ages 13 years to 3 months old, so even buying cards for holidays can become expensive. I love to send out something small to each child. In January, I scored a cheap alternative to Valentine's Day cards at my local grocery store.

Valentine's Fun for the Financially Challenged
One year we didn't have much money, and I wanted to do something my husband would remember, so I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of junk. Bear with me here, folks, it gets better!

Tell Someone How You Feel For Valentine's Day
This tip is for a great, thrifty, and heart-felt Valentine's Day gift. The best part is, it's free! One year, I wrote a poem about my favorite aunt, who I'm very close to. Though my poetry is rather personal to me, I finally decided to share it with her for Valentine's Day not long ago.

You Warm My Heart Valentine Gift
Here is a Valentines for teachers or someone special. I saw in a magazine where they did this with a paper cup but I decided I am using a mug with paint that can be used on glass.

Valentine's Day Cracker
I save old toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls. For Valentine's Day this year I covered the cardboard rolls with Valentine craft paper, you could use wrapping paper.

Bead My Valentine
Instead of cards (that too often get tossed in the "circular file") I made beaded Valentine's Day gifts last year. Even though they are inexpensive and VERY simple, my family and friends loved them.

Valentine Cookie Bouquet
A cookie bouquet is very easy and thrifty to make yourself if you're looking for a special gift. You can order them online or at a bakery, but are extremely expensive. They range in price from $24.99 - $59.99 or higher.

"Shower" Someone With Kisses
With Valentines Day approaching, I thought I would pass along a cute idea. A few years ago a friend came home on Valentines Day to find that her husband had apparently forgotten and had done nothing to observe the special day.

14 Days of Valentine
Today, I started what I am calling the "14 Days of Valentine". I am leaving a pink paper heart and a small chocolate heart on my husband's pillow every day.

Healthy Valentine's Gift
This is for Valentine's Day but you could alter it to whatever day you want. I used a printing program and found a picture of the little heart candy with sayings on them. Below it I printed "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways."
