Planning A Kitchen Shower
By Sharon Shearer
A very useful shower for a Bride-to-be is a Kitchen shower. This will help her stock her kitchen with small appliances, utensils, kitchen towels and recipes as well. It is helpful to know if she will decorate with a certain theme so you can make note of it on invitations.

Wedding Dress Bridal Shower Game
At my daughter's bridal shower, last Sunday, the hostess had the most awesome "game". She asked my daughter, the bride to be, and her future mother in law to come to the front of the room.

Mini Soap Kebob Favors
We made mini soap kebobs tied with ribbon for our bridal shower. You can buy a big bag of glycerin soap cubes and melt them in the microwave. You can add colors and fragrance after melting. We poured the melted soap into a pan with wax paper on the botton. Let cool for a few minutes then roll the thin soap layer, jelly roll style, and cut 1" slices.

"Swear By" Bridal Shower Theme
My niece is a lawyer and I gave her a "swear by" shower. On the card we told the guests to bring things they "swear by" so that we could save the bride a lot of time and energy. It could be appliances, gadgets, cleaning products, etc.

A Wedding Shower Checklist
By Claire Bowes
Bridal showers are one of many pre-wedding parties and are great fun. They are known as parties with a purpose. The purpose of a shower is to assist the couple in equipping their new home or for the bride to assemble a trousseau. Not only that, but they are a good excuse for the bride to get together with her friends and family to play hilarious games and to enjoy the food and wine.

Bridal Shower Games
By S. Denise Hoyle
Although games aren't played at every bridal shower, they are great ice breakers and can be lots of fun! Shower games are always a terrific idea if the guests don't know each other that well since they get the guests talking with each other. Generally, you will play 3-6 games at a bridal shower, depending on the length of time needed for each game.

Baby Shower, Wedding Shower
This week at a local discount drug store I found children's sand pail/shovel sets on sale for a quarter. I bought several for gift containers for anticipated showers in the near future. -Charlotte

Time-of-Day Shower
Has anyone ever done a time-of-day shower? Apparently, each guest chooses a specific time of day out of a 24 hour day and brings a gift specific for that time period. My friend and I are hosting a bridal shower and would like to use this format, but I would like some gift suggestions/ideas for the guests for different time periods, i.e., 3 AM! Thanks for your help. -Julie
