| Family: Two Year Old with Balloons
This is my little two-year niece at her grandfather's 80th birthday. She had so much fun with the balloons and we had so much fun watching her with them! Adorable.

| Use Stickers To Decorate Party Plates
Rather than buying expensive themed party supplies, decorate plain or colored plates and cups with stickers that follow the party's theme. We used metallic star stickers for our fairy and wizard themed birthday party and we found them at the dollar store in packs of 500!

| Let's Go to the Olympics Party
By Debra Frick
This year, I am going to throw a party on the opening day of the Olympics. The summer Olympics this year will be held in Beijing, China so I thought this would be a great time to pull out some of my favorite Chinese recipes. The menu I chose will feed between 2-4 couples. What is great about this menu is that if I choose not to cook, I can order all the food from my local Chinese take out and it will be less work for me.

| Strawberry Shortcake Princess First Birthday
For my daughter's first birthday, I decorated her highchair with bright pink velour fabric and I bought some pink "tutu" fabric and ribbon and layered the fabric to look like a princess's throne. Her birthday was decorated as Strawberry Shortcake Princess. The whole party was so cute.

| Dad's Birthday Cake
On my husband's birthday, our daughter decided to bake him a cake and decorate it herself. She was 10. This was the best cake he had ever received.

| Craft Project: Sports Party Crown
If you have a child who loves sports, this is a great project he or she can do in preparation for his or her birthday party--OR--if you like to do a craft at your parties, it's simple enough for a small group of kids to do so everyone can make their own party hat.

| Keeping Candle Wax Off Your Birthday Cake
I have always inserted my candles in Styrofoam instead of the cake to burn for birthdays. Then the candles could burn longer without getting wax all over your cake. This also works good if you have a ice cream cake, less melt and mess. The lit candles are blown out the same as if it were on a real cake. The Styrofoam works well, just throw all away no mess and no wax on cake either. Works great and cake tastes good too. All works well.

| Craft Project: Driver's License Cake Topper
I was short on time but wanted to have a little afterschool surprise for my daughter who her passed her driver's test today. So I whipped out a chocolate chip cookie mix, spread it in a square pan and made this funny topper, which includes the new driver and her older sister, with my photo software.

| Frog Themed Baby Shower
I made this diaper cake in a frog theme for my boyfriend's sister's baby shower. I also made a flower centerpiece out of a frog planter and filled with flowers made from baby socks to look like little roses.

| First Birthday Party Advice
As with any mom, when my son turned one I wanted him to have the best party ever. After I had looked at several party themes, I finally decided on the Sesame Street Beginnings theme. It had baby Elmo, baby Big Bird, and baby Cookie Monster with a big one. Not only was it cute but it was way more in my budget than any other ones I had looked at.
