At the end of the holiday season, I pack away all the holiday cards received that year. When I unpack my decorations the next year, I re-read the cards, cutting them at the creases and disassembling them for crafty gift tags for this year's gifts!
I already had an old pitcher filled with pink silk roses. To make it more festive, I simply tucked in some gold colored trim from AC Moore (about a buck a piece).
I made this tree for my parents when they moved into a small apartment and didn't have room for a real tree for the first time in their lives. It had all of their family members signatures on it so it was really special to them.
Make lace ornaments for your own tree or give as gifts to others. Since you have to wait for the glue to dry between layers, it's best to make several ornaments at the same time.
Last year I made this Christmas tree by recycling used corrugated cardboard. It's fun to make, and will last for years. Saves all that traveling to and from the tree farm/lot!
I am in charge of a Christmas party every year for two school classes and always like to have a "goodie bag" of treats to send home. It's hard to find the right size bag, so came up with my own.
