Hippo Table
For a child's table idea I would strongly urge you to make one great table out of two circular ones with legs, by doing this: Take the legs off one table, paint white, and set aside to dry until later. Draw and cut out the pattern of the top of a hippo head, from a bird's eye view.

Refurbishing a Dresser
This dresser happens to be over 30 years old and was a hideous shade of brown. I simply painted the entire dresser white and removed all of the previous hardware.

Watermelon Stool
Sand the top so it will take the paint. If it is an unfinished stool, you may want to paint the legs. Apply acrylic paint to make it look like a watermelon.

Chair Seats Made of Old Belts
Chair Seats from Old Belts. Make a chair seat from old belts! I used as many leather belts as I got after my mom died a couple years ago and wove them onto where the seat was missing from this chair.

Homemade Glass Shelves
Homemade Glass Shelves. I just recently discover a great way to make a "homemade" bookshelf. Stacking glass or plexi-glass on glass blocks. Glass blocks come in a great many styles and colors...

Window Coffee Table
Here is a photo of a coffee table I made out of a window. I left the panes in,put in some old items, then bought a piece of plastic for the top. I bought some legs at a Menard's store. . .

Make a CASTLE Bed for your Child!
I drew the plans for this bed and my husband made it from 2x4's and cheap plywood. It only cost about $50 total for the wood and paint. There is PLENTY of storage underneath for our son's toys. I used masking tape to markoff the bricks/stones and sponged on black and white paint to make the stones look more real. The paint on the wall is done to give the appearance of the castle being more closed in. We also put velcro around the top bed frame and our son can attach some cheap fabric I found for $1.00 a yard, to close in the castle for tent-like privacy.

Turn Trash Into Fully Functional Furniture For Your Home
You know all the furniture that you see people have left out at the curb for trash pickup, that on the surface looks ready for demolition? With a little fix up, these pieces can be saved and used in your own home.
