Printer Tip: Storing Color Cartridges
If you are using a black cartridge and trying to save the color cartridge, it can dry out... store it in a ziplock bag with a moist paper towel. I got this tip from the company I buy my refill ink from. I was using two printers, using mostly the black and the color cartridge was drying up in the other printer! Penny-wise and pound foolish! It really does work! By Syd

Floppy Disk Organization
If you are still using floppy's like I am, and store them in a floppy box you can't see what's on the floppy unless you take it out of the box. Using a black Sharpie, write on the metal edge, i.e. Thank you graphics, Good morning graphics, Jokes, Labels, etc. Easy to read at a quick glance stored in the box. By Syd

Use a Toilet Paper Roll to Organize Messy Wires
I recently rearranged my office, leaving a mess of exposed wires of all kinds. I covered a toilet tissue roll with wrapping paper, then wrapped all the wires into a hank and tucked them inside the roll. Cheaper, smaller and more clever than the large and unsightly tube sold at the electronics store for this purpose. By Linda

Easy to Remember Password
Not necessarily a "thrifty" tip, but a time/trouble saving. If you're need a security code word or password you can use a phone number of a friend or family member that's ingrained in your long-term memory, along with their initials. If you're likely to need a reminder, simply tape their name, or relationship (i.e. "Grandma") near your puter. : ) By Doggy

ISP Tip
By Syd
In selecting an ISP, my recommendation is to go with a local ISP since they offer much cheaper prices than some of the name brand pricy ones. When you calculate the monthly fee times 12 months can be an eye opener. Read more about Syd's experience using her local ISP.
