Saving Money on Newspapers Bought for Coupons
I don't know about everywhere else, but where I live it costs a dollar for the Sunday paper. It may not seem like a lot to the everyday person, but when you're buying it for the coupons, so you can save money, every penny counts.

Ask Sales Reps for Coupons
Everyone knows to use coupons to save money at the grocery store, but the real trick is how to acquire a variety of coupons to use. Many manufacturers have their sales reps visit grocery stores on a regular basis to ensure that their products are on the store shelf. If you see a non-store employee working in a store, take the time to ask them if they have any free coupons that they could give you.

I Need Help Finding And Organizing Coupons
I am trying to save money on groceries by using coupons. I know to save coupons from the Sunday paper, but does anyone have any suggestions for other places to look or of any websites that have some? I'd also like to find more information on the web about knowing when to use coupons and the best ways to keep them organized. Thanks, Amy in Texas

About MyPoints
I noticed that MyPoints is todays sponsor. I have been a member of this program for many years. IT's sooooo easy to earn points. I get gift cards to Red Lobster as I don't feel so bad about spending the money. Last year I received a gift card for Bath & Body for $10 and used it to get a gift for the baby sitter. The item was $20 so I got 1/2 off when I purchased it and she loved the gift. So sign up.

Betty Crocker Points
Perhaps I was the only one not to know, but Betty Crocker points CAN EXPIRE! I had over 3,000 points which expired in 1999 or before. I have a coffee can under the sink I use to clip the points and slip through a slit I made in the top. Collecting since 1983. I never knew, Did you? By Susan

Getting Coupons for Products You Buy Regularly
To get some great coupons and recipes go to the websites of products you buy regularly. You may be able to sign up to get email coupons. You may even want to call the 800 number located on most products. They are usually very anxious to get you on the mailing list for coupons and even samples of new products. By Christine

Double Coupons at Fred's Discount Store
Fred's Discount Store has double coupon day on Saturdays. I wasn't aware of this until one Saturday I used a coupon & noticed the cashier doubled it. I asked & found out that on Saturdays they double the coupons - even $ 1.00 coupons! By Ameyers Editor's Note: We don't have these in our neck of the woods. Looks like a big chain in the south. Here's their site, it has a store locator: http://www.fredsinc.com/index.html

When Coupons AREN'T a Good Deal
By Lana Dorazio
Don't get me wrong, I like coupons. I'm actually a member of a coupon website that helps me to match up my coupons with the best sales of the week! It's a wonderful saving device. However, there are pitfalls to coupon shopping that people fall into. If you are a diehard couponer, you might want to rethink your strategies for a more relaxed and timesaving alternative to couponing.

Leave Coupons for the Next Shopper
When shopping with coupons, if I decide not to buy the designated product. I leave the coupon for the next buyer. I'm just paying back for what others have done for me. Nancy
