| Candle Fun
Christmas gifts from children can be fun and not costly. I like going to yard sales and buying used up old candles that are partially used. The children and I shave the candles. You can use a knife or whatever you need to break the candle wax up into chunks.

| Quilt from Kids Clothes
For an easy Christmas gift, save your used children's clothes. Cut out as many squares and sew them together to make a front cover for a quilt. And just keep adding as they grow and when they are old enough they will have a quilt to remember them of their childhood.

| Large Flat Desk Calendars For Craft Projects
When companies offer various type calendars this time of year, take one and use as a work pad for craft projects. Tear off the sheet when you've finished a messy project and toss in the trash.

| Styrofoam Beads for Christmas Ornaments
You can make beads to string on thread or thin elastic for bracelets or necklaces or Christmas ornaments by punching holes with a hole punch in styrofoam egg cartons and meat trays. The black meat or frozen food trays make great beads for teens and adults. Add beads from old broken necklaces or alternate different colors of styrofoam. Use the pastel colored egg cartons for Easter. Just thread a needle, poke in the center of your little holes and string them up. Have fun.

| Making Your Own Magnets
Make your own magnets with cute sayings or whatever, then laminate them in small laminating machine. It was rather cheap at a craft store on sale. Then use old magnetic business card magnets that we all get. Trace the magnet on the back of your laminated piece and put contact cement on the printed side of magnet and then on the laminated side and stick it together.
Makes a nice gift and looks professional.

| Make Placemats With Last Year's Christmas Cards
You can use old Christmas cards to make holiday placemats. Cut out pictures from old Christmas cards and scotch tape or glue them together. Once you have several cutouts together, place them onto the sticky side of the contact paper (other side of paper will have a design). Next, take clear contact paper and cover the cutouts, press firmly to get out the air bubbles. Then simply cut the excess contact paper off and you'll have a nice placemat. You can use it picture side up for the holidays and design side up for the rest of the year. Messes wipe right off and they last forever! You may want to use pinking shears to give the edges a more decorative look.

| Making Paper and Felt Ornaments
It isn't too late to still make quick paper or felt ornaments for gifts to stick into a card. One of my daughters is using brown felt and cutting out gingerbread men that she then puts faces and details on with a paint pen, a red gingham ribbon attaches it to the tree. She's making these for Grandparents, teachers etc. and sending some in our Christmas cards. Also origami books or other Christmas paper ornament books can be found at the library.

| Homemade Scrunchies

Easy and quick pattern. Cut fabric 20-22 inches long and 4 inches wide. Sew the fabric together, right sides together using 1/4-inch seam allowance, making a tube. Cut 8 inches of 1/4 inch elastic. Turn the tube right side out...
