Putting Family First
By Joyce Moseley Pierce
I once knew a man who spent his life working and trying to provide for his family. More than anything, he wanted to be successful. In his mind, that meant making a lot of money and having material things to show for it - nice house, new car, expensive suits, cash in hand.

Getting Organized With Photo Albums
Well, I finally did it after all these years. I purchased a great Christmas Photo Album at Christmas Tree Shop at a reduced price of $1.00 (from $4.00).. It has a holiday motif on the front and back and has 2 clear pockets on each page with a total of 100 pages. Seeing that my children are now grown and have kids of their own I have accumulated many, many Christmas pictures. Also from the time my oldest child celebrated her 1st Christmas with a picture taken with Santa until my youngest child finished celebrating by having her picture taken with Santa the annual Santa photos really mounted up.

An After Christmas Tradition
After I moved off to college, my family started a new tradition. Every year we'll all get together the week after Christmas in a city that's about equal distance for all of us. We'll stay in a nice hotel, watch as many movies as we can, do some shopping, go to a museum or two, and catch up. This is when we exchange our family gifts.

The New Year's Angel To The Rescue
The month of December is a stressful month for children. It leads to squabbling. My father said they opened 1 gift on Christmas and the rest on New Year's Day. The New Year's angel came to our house starting the first of December.
