How to Make Personalized Candle Gifts from Ordinary Candles
By Criss White
If you are looking for a fun gift to make for any occasion, then personalized candle making may be something you would like to consider. There are many ways to make personalized candles, depending on how much time and money you are willing to spend. With just a little extra time and effort, you can make a personalized candle out of an otherwise ordinary candle gift that the lucky recipient will love.

Gift Card Expiration Dates
In response to a recent posting named "Giving Gift Cards" I just wanted to be sure people check the length of time a gift card will be good.

Homemade Crafts As Gifts
If you're a crafty person, why not make most if not all of your gifts. Not only will you be saving lots of money, time, and gasoline (searching for that "right" gift), chances are your recipient will love and cherish your homemade gift much more, as it will be made with love.

Gift Idea - A Trip To The Dollar Store
For little kids birthdays who don't really need any new, expensive toys, give them some money (like $10) and take them to a Dollar Store where they can pick out 10 different toys that they would like. It is cheap and the kid can have fun picking out whatever they want!

Thoughtful "Thinking of You" Gift Basket
I once saw a gift basket that made a lasting impression. Included in it were small inexpensive gifts thoughtfully put together. With each gift it had a tag saying "If you're feeling happy open me" or "If you're feeling depressed open me". Depending on what the gift said it would be a happy gift or an encouraging gift.

Thrifty Gift Tags
Cut the top part of used greeting cards off, then cut this down to whatever size (and shape) you wish, depending on the design. (If it's an angel, just cut her out.) I also like to use hearts or other shapes that perhaps match the occasion for the gift you will use them on.

Fire Safety Tools - Going Away Gift Basket
Give your college-bound son or daughter a going-away gift basket of fire safety tools. Include a flashlight, smoke alarm, first-aid kit, carbon monoxide detector, a grid for drawing up a fire-escape plan, and extra batteries - total cost, about $100.

Mother's Day and Father's Day Gift idea
With Mother's Day and Father's Day coming up, the best gift you could ever give is your presence. But if this is not possible, send them several prepaid calling cards so they can keep in touch with you and their grandchildren more often than maybe their budget will allow.

Gift Ideas for a Blind Woman
Do you have any ideas for types of gifts to give a blind person that has enough money to buy herself anything she could desire? She doesn't wear jewlery or go shopping, so gift cards are not worthwhile. Any suggestions?

Double Sided Tape For Wrapping Presents
When wrapping any type of gifts, especially at Christmas time, a roll of Scotch double sided tape is a wise investment. It is easier, and faster to wrap the gifts, and the packages are more attractive, since no tape is visible on top of the paper or ribbons.
