| Interlibrary Loans
When my library doesn't have a book I'm interested in reading, I ask the librarian if it can be ordered through interlibrary loan. My library finds the book in another library, which loans it to my library, which loans it to me. This also works well to preview a book I might be interested in buying.

| Getting Creative With Lonely Socks and Mittens
I have a great tip for those who don't know what to do with those pesky lonely socks and mittens that we all have. I have 3 fantastic girls but they are always losing their mates. A quick tip I found to keep gloves and mittens together is to tie a few strings to a hanger and place large paper clips on the ends. The pair of mittens easily slide on the paper clip and they are mated and drying in no time . . .

| Making Cheap Candles Drip Free
Soak them in a tub of water with a generous amount of regular table salt. Use at least a 1/2 cup salt in one of those plastic tubs that are at least 9 x 13. You can gently weigh them down to keep them immersed in the salt water, I never have though, I just periodically turn them. I usually soak mine for at least 2 hours, then let wicks dry and whoa, this has never failed me yet. The inexpensive candles from the Dollar Store for 3 for a Dollar, now not only are dripless but also last a long time cause they tend to burn slower as well.

| Free 2005 Calendars
If you need 2005 wall calendar go to your local bank, insurance company, or a place where you do your business and ask for them. They will give you (free) all you need. It beats paying $4.99-$12.99 for them at bookstores, and office depot.
I just received four on New Year's Eve from my local bank.

| Predicting Weather Based On Cloud Patterns
Puffy white clouds sailing across a blue sky indicate continuing fair weather. But if they mass together to form tall, anvil-shaped clouds, be prepared for a lightning-filled thunderstorm, even if the sun in shining brightly.

| Lickable Stamps Equal Unwanted Calories
Watching your weight? If so, the next time you go to purchase postage stamps, you might want to opt for the ready to stick stamps rather than the stamps you have to lick. Lickable stamps count as unwanted calories that you might not have thought about previously.

| Finding Items Dropped on the Floor

When you drop something tiny on the floor/carpet, like a pin, screw or earring. Take a flashlight and put it level with the floor for the light to pick up the shine of the lost item.
