I Painted My House with Coupon Savings
When shopping, I get the total, write the clerk check and then offer the coupons. The cashier then gives me cashback after deducting the coupons which in turn goes to a saving account for special projects. In 1 year I was able to pay cash to paint the outside of my house. By Pilar Duffy

Cut Years Off Your Mortgage
To really cut years off your mortgage, make an extra payment a year but do it this way. Say your mortgage payment is 1200/month. Divide that by 12 ($100) and add that above and beyond that monthly payment. It will cut thousands in the life of your mortgage! By Marie

How To Reduce Bank Fees
By Jeffrey Strain
Nobody likes to pay banking fees, but if you aren't active in trying to reduce them, you are probably paying more in fees than you need to be. One of the most important actions to take in order to reduce the banking fees is to figure out exactly how you use your bank. Consider what your average balance will be and how low the balance may dip. Also consider the type of transactions you make and what types of services you need. Once you have a better understanding of how you utilize the bank, you are in the position to get the most out of it while avoiding fees for services you don't need or use.

Use the 10% Rule
I call this "the 10% rule". Whatever you are using, try using 10% less: 10% less laundry detergent, 10% less shampoo, 10% less toothpaste, 10% less hamburger in your casserole. Chances are, you won't even notice that 10% is missing -- and saving a penny here and a penny there DOES add up! By Becki in Indiana

Why Warranties?
By Doris Dobkins
Have you ever wondered why most companies offer extended warranties (service contracts) for the products they sell? Do they already know that something is going to go wrong with your product or do they know everything will be well with it and they are just looking for easy profits?
