| Audiobooks From The Library
Listen to audiobooks! I get them for free from the public library and listen to them as I drive and when I go for my power walks. I "read" about 2-3 books weekly using this method.

| My Frugal Life - Road Trip
Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Funny how joyful everything looks bursting with color, fruits and vibrant leaves on the trees, sunshine orange pumpkins ready for the picking.

| Low Cost Activities

I am not usually a pest, but I am a Apartment Manager here in Rohnert Park. At one time this was assisted living. But not for a few years. It's a regular complex. We only have one bedroom units, so there are very few kids, we have adults mostly from 21-91.

| Circus Savings For Groups
My 5 year old loves the Circus. As you all know, it is insanely expensive to go with the cost of the tickets, drinks, snacks, toys. It really can get out of control. This year, to solve this dilemma, my daughter's class all bought tickets together which allowed us to get the group rate on the tickets (50% off!).

Winter weather can be fun, but it can also lead to "cabin fever." With long winter weeks ahead, create a list of activities that can keep kids entertained without costing a penny.

| Be a Tourist in Your Own Town
Be a Tourist in Your Own Town. I live in Kenosha, WI, a great area, almost right in between Milwaukee, WI (30 minutes away) and Chicago, IL (about an hour away). When I was a teenager, I remember complaining about there not being anything to do in town. But now that I'm older and a mom myself, I realize just what a wealth of things there are to do here in our area!

| Simple Recreation Ideas

We are basically living outside sleeping in a trailer and screen house. When we are there we have been very bored because everything we have has been packed up. Is there any simple Ideas for recreation or fun that we can do when were not working on building a living space?

Summer is here and with it comes the ever-present "I'm bored." The best way to conquer this is to set up family excursions and activities, but that only adds an additional summertime problem - cost. Instead, pepper the summer (or any time of the year) with free family activities that are enjoyable for all.

For preschoolers and babies, nothing beats a cardboard box! Older preschoolers can color on it, and decorate. Babies like to play peek a boo with the flaps...
