Christmas "Goodie" Recipes
I am looking for some good Christmas recipes for me and my daughter to make this year. We both are really into cooking and this is something I never did with my mom as a child.

Ham Balls
Mix ham, beef, crumbs, milk and ketchup together. Salt and pepper to taste. Make into balls and place in baking dish.

Applesauce Cake
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs. Beat well stir in applesauce and add dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

Oh So Good Gum Drop Cookies
Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Shift flour, salt, and soda together spoon into the creamed mixture and mix well. Add the cut up gum drops and chopped nuts.

Dipped Cherry Cookies
Something different for Christmas treat. In a large bowl, combine flour and 1/2 cup sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Knead in the cherries, 2/3 cup white chocolate and extract until dough forms a ball.

"Ice Box" Fruit Cake
Use a rolling pin to crush graham crackers into fine crumbs. Put the crumbs in a large mixing bowl, with cut up candied cherries, raisins, cut up dates, and chopped walnuts. Mix well.

Holiday Wassail
Combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Strain.
