To take care of DVDs and CDs that have been scratched; instead of buying an expensive kit to fix them, put a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and working from the inside of the disc outward. . .
How would you clean the keys, the actual letters that strike the ribbon, on an old typewriter? Carbon tetrachloride isn't around any more and it's nasty stuff anyway.
I recently bid on and won a Panasonic Discman on E-Bay. When it arrived today and I opened the box, it reeked of perfume or cologne that even was in the metal of the unit. I had to throw away the packaging immediately.
I want to shampoo my recliner but do not want to load it up with soap. I have read most of the articles about carpet shampoos and wonder if the same recipes will work for my recliner.
I have a 46 inch big screen that we recently purchased from a newpaper ad. It has 3 stains on the bottom left side and I don't know what it is. Everything I've tried (nail polish remover, rubbing alchohol, etc) doesnt seem to work. You can feel it if you rub your finger on it but nothing comes off if you use your nails. If anyone has any ideas they'd be appreciated!
I'm not sure if this has been posted before so forgive me if I am submitting this twice... Hairspray accidentally got sprayed onto the top of my digital camera and it has stuck. The little zoom button will not slide back and forth. Is there anything I can use to loosen it?
