| High School Graduation Gift Ideas
The oldest grandchild on my husband's side of the family graduated this year, so I came up with a gift idea to give her a good start at college. I emailed the relatives to ask for recipes, household hints, and study tips.

| Tips for College Fairs

Visiting a big college fair is a great way to get a little face-to-face information. I realized, though, that my kids were spending a lot of their time filling out send-me-more-info forms, which reduced the time they had for asking questions and getting a feel for each school.

| Dorm Room Necessities
Sending our oldest away to college was going to be difficult enough as she selected a college 4.5 hours away. In order to provide some basic DORM ROOM necessities, I began collecting items last September to present to her upon graduation from High school.

| Sending Coupons To College Student
My daughter is away at college and she loves to get mail. W henever I send her a card I like to enclose a little surprise, something that will fit inside a card like a bookmark, flat decorative magnet, stickers, shampoo samples, etc. Lately I have been sending coupons for the foods she likes, makeup she uses and cleaning supplies. She called me last week all excited and said, "Mom, guess what? I saved $13 at the store because they were taking double coupons." She is now becoming a thrifty person like her mom.

| Get Dishes That Fit Your Microwave
I bought my nephew a microwave to take to college with him. At the store I gathered up some plates, cups and bowls of varying sizes to be sure they fit in the microwave. No need to return the microwave for a different size.

As a university student, I often founds times tight despite not being one to party like everyone else. I could just never understand why everyone always had money and I was often broke and pinching pennies for groceries.

| "Office In A Bag" For College Students
I am a mom/college student who commutes 30 minutes to campus - thus, if I forget something at home, I am out of luck! So, I created an "Office in a Bag" in case I need something. I got a pencil bag and put extra pens, pencils, highlighters, Post-it Note Flags and Notes, stapler, paper punch, pencil sharpener, paper clips, ear bud headphones, USB drive, etc.

| Link: Buy Individual Chapters Of Your Textbook
I am currently attending college and found that the teachers will usually give reading assignments from just a few chapters of the expensive textbooks; however, they are usually known ahead of time when the teacher hands out the syllabus. With that knowledge, you can purchase single chapters of textbooks from ichapters.com - starting at $3.99 per chapter.
