Storing and Sorting Beads in Cupcake Tins
When you are at your next garage sale or when you are planning your own, look and see what shape your cupcake tins are in. If you decide you want to get rid of them, think again, these make great storage for beads and a great place to sort those beads that come in an assorted package.

Making Potato Beads
Has anyone ever made beads out of cut potatoes? I seem to recall seeing someone cut potatoes, let them dry and then paint them and make jewelry. My 4 yr old is very into jewelry and I thought this would be a fun project, but wanted to be sure to do it right.

A Ring for Valentine's Day
Make a ring for your Valentine. You need rocaille beads that are the size of a seed bead and some beading wire. Measure off about two feet of wire. Slip on four beads. Now run the one end of the wire through the last two beads on the other end of the wire. Draw up firmly to make two rows of two beads each. Add two beads, run the other end of the wire through those from the opposite direction and draw up firmly to make a third row. Repeat until you have a ring that is the right size. This may sound confusing at first, but try it. I learned to do it in second grade.

An Overview of Home Cured Modeling Clays
By Eileen Bergen
To my mind, modeling clay is one of the most fun media to "play" with. From faux beads to small figurines to plaques to Christmas ornaments to adornments for collages or scrapbook pages: every crafter can find an application for clay. Home cured clays which air dry or cure in the oven at low temperature are safe, easy and one of the most affordable crafts around.

Beautiful Beaded Snowflakes
These are quick and easy to make. You should be able to make quite a few while you watch TV. It is also easy enough for older Kids to make them. Hang them on your christmas tree, in your windows or tie on to packages.
