Frugal Embellishments for Scrapbooking
I scrapbook all the time and I use them as gifts for family and friends. This is a hobby that can be very expensive, after you purchase paper and embellishments. I decided to save money on supplies I started cutting out objects and lettering from catalogs that we receive in the mail.

Organizing Children's Artwork
I have two preschoolers who bring home lots of artwork and make their own creations at home. While their projects are my favorite, we've accumulated boxes of their paperwork that we don't look at or use. One afternoon, I spent a few hours photographing everything they did, downloading the photos to our computer, and uploading them to an online photo service to share with the grandparents.

Use Cat Treat Containers For Organizing Craft Supplies
I believe in recycling everything, To organize all my flowers for my scrapbooking, I use my cat's Pounce Cat Treat bottles and put each color of flower in their own bottle. I have a nice shelf unit I got free from a neighbor that they fit in just right. I also use shoe boxes to store small craft supplies and label them and keep them in a closet in my craft room.

Be Creative When Scrapbooking
When scrapbooking, use your creativity. In this example, I cut the photo I was referring to in my journaling into several long strips. It was my sister's house which was finally being finished. I wrote "The pieces are finally coming together". It added some fun whimsy to the page and everyone thought it was clever!

Scrapbooking Certificates And Awards
I would like to put all my kids school awards/certificates, school pictures, etc. in a photo album or scrapbook. Which would be more appropriate? I also want to be able to write notes maybe with a gold pen on each page about what was going on at the time the award was received. I can't decide if a photo album or scrapbook will be easier as I have no knowledge about scrapbooking. Your opinion will be appreciated.

Scrapbook for Student Assignment
I've heard about the scrapbooking craze but have not been involved. My 13 year old son has been given a school assignment to create a scrapbook about himself. His instructions were to take each letter of the alphabet and give 2 words beginning with that letter to describe himself. He said the teacher suggested they use buttons "and stuff" to put on it. The project is due in about a week, so I assume it's not expected to be too grand. We've already come up with his words, and I thought about writing them in calligraphy form on the pages. Any quick or easy suggestions out there for what to use for the book/pages, decorating, etc.? Any ideas are welcomed!
