I use the net onion bags for trips to the farmers market to carry home our veggies. Also some I cut up to use in the bottom of pots when planting to hold the dirt in.
About two months ago I went through my towels. I had some of my own which were old and some I had inherited. I had a lot, some of which were cheap and worn.
For my Kindergarten class at Sunday School, we made Santa toys out of Liquid Coffee Mate bottles. The white bottles have red caps that are shaped as Santa's hat.
Our family has recycled grocery plastic bags as trash bags for years. We use small plastic trash container about 12 inch diameter and 14 inches high. We have one in each bathroom, kitchen and laundry room.
I take coffee-mate containers, the ones that are found in the dairy case, and use them for sugar dispensers. You can cut and peel the outside plastic off. You could use these for other dry ingredients as well.
OK, some of you are thinking "this woman has too much time on her hands" but since I quit my job several months ago, I have been continuously going through my house and downsizing. Yesterday, I was straightening up in our video/DVD armoire. I found numerous video cassettes that through the years I would record my soaps on so that I could watch them to relax when I got home from work.
I am looking for ideas to use the paint chip cards from Home Depot and Menard's. I have seen them folded and used for other things but lost the information.
