Eco-Friendly Alternatives to Dry Cleaning
Is there any alternative to dry cleaning? My queen sized comforter says "dry clean only" on the tag, but my husband is not crazy about the idea of dry cleaning it because of the chemicals they use. Are there any other options out there?

Add Vinegar to Your Wash for Soft Clothes
Add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to your wash. There will be no need to use fabric softener or fabric sheets. It makes your clothes soft. It might take a few washings to get the built up fabric softener out of your cloths.

Luxurious Lemons
By Kelly Ann Butterbaugh
Normally when I shop, I don't fill my cart with bright yellow lemons. Until recently, that is. Now, after reading about the versatility of lemons in a grocery store flyer, lemons are at home in my fridge.

Make Your Own Cleaning Cloths
Who needs paper towels? This is a truly frugal idea I had several years ago. Do you have old t-shirts waiting for Goodwill sitting around? Cut them horizontally from the bottom of one sleeve to the other, basically harvesting the flat cloth beneath the sleeves.

Banana Stalks for Fleas
This tip is something I saw my father do back in the fifties. We moved into an apartment that had those old fiber mat room carpets. It was alive with fleas. They absolutely covered you when you walked in.
