Grants For Seniors To Buy a Home
I would like to buy a house for me and my husband where we can control the environment we live in. We need a grant to do so. Where do we go or how do we apply.

Add Extra Principal To Your Mortgage Payments
Reduce the amount of interest you pay on your mortgage payments by simply adding additional principle dollars to the payments you make each month. You don't have to do this every month; you could do it once or twice a year if you receive bonuses or a tax refund.

Getting Out of a Car Lease Early
We have outgrown a vehicle we had leased for 36 months. We found a replacement vehicle and are looking to get out of the lease 9 months early. We are very close the the mileage limit on the lease and did not want to pay penalties.

When House Hunting, Buyer Beware!
When House Hunting, Buyer Beware! My tightwad living tip of the day is when buying a home, any kind of home, it is buyer beware time. If you aren't handy, don't buy a fixer upper, buy a home that is livable, but within your very tight budget.

Buying a Manufactured Home
We have interest in buying a mobile home, or a manufactured home, and live in a mobile home park permanently. The homes we have looked at are very nice as are the various parks. Can anyone give me their opinion on what to look for in a home or a park? What should we ask before we move in to a park? Is there a particular manufacturer of these homes that are better quality that others?

Checking Out the Neighborhood Shopping
When looking for a new home, in a new neighborhood and you're undecided if you'd like to live there, check out one of the local grocery stores, to see if they're clean, etc. We have a pal who sells homes, this is what he does if a couple is indecisive. He said most of the time, it works.

Mortgage Company Won't Accept My Weekly Payments
I am sending weekly mortgage payments to my lender and sent a request in writing instructing them how much to apply to principal, interest and escrow. They accept my payment but hold it in a suspense account until I call when the next payment is due and tell them to apply it.

Have Fast Should You Repay a Home You Plan To Sell Soon?
I'm a college student who is planning on buying my first home within the next few years. I'm almost certain that this will be a starter home that I will need to resell in a matter of years. I prefer loans that have no penalty for paying more each month, but since I won't be paying the mortgage in full, is it recommended to pay as much as I can before I sell or would that be wasting my money?
