Compare Soil Enhancer Compositions to Find the Best Bargain
We're encouraged to use raised garden beds for our veggies here. Aside from our incredible compost bin, Chris wanted to mix Black Cow with the soil he'd bought. He chafed at the price specially after deciding he needed one more bag.

"Magic" Lawn Formula
Some time ago, when I lived in Florida, a person at Home Depot gave me a "magic formula" for a healthy lawn. Some of the ingredients were: Instant Tea and ammonia, along with a couple of others. It was fantastic. Can anyone provide me with the formula to be used with a 20 gal sprayer?

Buy Mulch Now For Next Year
If you garden, buy mulch now! All the garden centers and other stores that sell mulch in bulk bags, have them on super sale right now. I just bought 5 bags (1.5 cubic feet each) of mulch for only $5! It's usually $2.79 a bag, so this is close to be only a third of retail. Yay, me!

I've heard that used coffee grounds are good for rose bushes. Can the grounds from flavored coffees also be used?

Using 'Kitchen Waste' To Fertilize Plants
I want to fertilize my plants with "kitchen waste" instead of chemicals. How do I use coffee grounds for hydrangeas if used grounds are not acidic enough?
