Woody Hibiscus (Rose Of Sharon)
I planted a woody hibiscus tree that my husband dug up on the side of the road; I didn't know if it would thrive or not. My husband calls it "swamp cotton" because of the beauty of the blossom that looks like a cotton blossom. It is an exquisite decoration to my yard.

These tall sunflower type flowers can be seen from my kitchen window. They grow abundantly in our back yard along the tree line. However, I think they may be a weed.

Garden: Purple Coneflower (Echinacea)
This bee was on one of my cone flowers. I was afraid he had overdosed on pollen, he was breathing really heavy. I went into the house and when I came back out to check on him, he was gone. I am sure he was the hero of the day in his nest!

Garden: Limelight Hydrangea For Northern Climates
This is a limelight hydrangea. In the earlier part of the summer, it is a lime green and then turns to a pink as it gets closer to fall. It is very easy to care for and always blooms for zone 5 where most hydrangeas do not.
