Check out this tremendously colorful plant that I noticed while taking a walk with my high school girl friend (Class of 1981) in South Carolina.

Sharing Garden Flowers
I will call this a friendship tip. My aunt is home bound after being in the hospital and nursing home after several falls. No broken bones thank goodness. She loves to come to see my flowers once each spring or summer.

Garden: Bamboo Lattice
I made a bamboo lattice-type support for my weeping apricot that is in front of my Tea-house, similar to the cherry blossoms in Japan.

Recycle a Spiral Christmas Tree as a Trellis
At Christmas one year, I bought one of those lighted spiral decoration trees. After a few years, it just didn't work. I was looking for a trellis for some plants, and guess what I used? The spiral frame made the flowering vine that grew up it, look like a tree in my yard. Everyone would ask what kind of tree it was.

Garden: Butterflies To Be
I plant tons of milkweed which is my host plant and it attracts many butterflies to my yard here in Florida. Several times a year I get their offspring. Here on December 14th, I have probably 15 of these magnificent caterpillars on one plant alone, all soon to be butterflies.
