Does anybody know how to make a homemade water based concrete stain? I have a project that I am doing; I need a small amount of brown color and a moderate amount of green. I hate to have to purchase a whole gallon of each color for just small areas.
My Kitchen floor tile is unsightly. It holds the dirt really easily due to the grain on the tile. Is there something I can coat my floor with, once cleaned to make life easier? I was thinking maybe a polyurethane or a varnish if possible.
I think I have a good idea for "painting" vinyl floors and need to know if anyone else has tried it? First, super clean the floor and prime it. I thought that I"d get a really large roll of light brown or light gray medium weight paper and cut it into 2 or 3 foot squares, crumple it tightly and leave it crumpled for a few days.
I recently pulled up the carpeting in my kitchen. My home was built in the mid 1800's so I was hoping for some plank wood flooring. Well to my surprise there was old tile, that was glued down using black tar. I was so upset.
My furniture kept scratching my floor. I bought the carpet piece they sell for $1 at Dollar Tree. I cut it to the size I needed and used mounting tape ($1 at Dollar Tree) to affix to all my furniture.
