Spanish Moss in Lattice Shades Porch
This idea will be best where the snow does not blow. I live in Key West, FL. The HOT sun just keeps on shining on my lattice laced porch. In order to keep my windows open, and block the heat, I needed a privacy shade. I bought some Spanish moss, and stuck in the the lattice holes. The moss is like an air plant. No soil needed, and with a water spray a day they flourish.

Low Cost Recessed Stepping Stones
Seattle is known for it's rain. And with that rain comes muddy yards, so I needed stepping stones. But I didn't want to worry about my lawnmower hitting the stones, so I came up with a plan that worked perfectly! And all you need is cement or concrete, water and a shovel.

Cleaning Wooden Deck Cracks
How do you clean the cracks in your wooden deck? The boards on my deck are a little too close together and SO MUCH gunk gets stuck between them. I tried using a screw drivers to scrap it all out and I also used the high power nozzle on the end of the hose to shoot it out with water, but neither technique works all that well. Any ideas?

I need advice in deciding what kind of pavers to choose for a patio to be built in a fairly humid climate. My biggest concern is choosing pavers with the longest lifespan, with the cost being a secondary consideration.

Attaching a Gazebo to Cement
I want to attach a 10'x10' gazebo to the cement next to our in-ground pool. My husband is worried about the strong winds we get through our backyard. Is it possible that the winds will rip the gazebo up out of the cement and ruin our cement?
