Baking Soda as a Skin Softener
The best skin softener that I have found to date is baking soda. When used while bathing, baking soda leaves your skin soft and smooth looking. At about 40 cents a box, I don't think any professional exfoliator can come close to such a bargain! By Michelle H.

Chocolate Paraffin Wax Recipe
I am a licensed manicurist and have recently purchase a chocolate scented paraffin wax and when I received it, it appears to be homemade. I'm not looking for anything edible, I want to be able to make it for my Paraffin bath for my manicures and pedicures. It seems to be made from unscented paraffin but I don't know what type of chocolate or how much. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Amanda from Alabama

Homemade Solution for Rough Skin
For rough skin try 1 part witch hazel and 2 parts glycerin. My husband likes this during the winter when his hands crack. By RoseMary

Homemade Shampoo from Natural Ingredients
Does anyone have a recipe for a hair shampoo from natural ingredients. I've heard a raw egg will do wonders but this is something that gets too expensive to use on a daily basis. Andrea from Manitoba

Home-made Hand & Nail Treatments
By Rachel Webb
Hands are one of our most expressive features that need to be moisturized and cared for to keep them looking their best. Often we spend personal time on your face and hair but don't think twice about the way that our hands look...could it be that our hands are our most neglected feature?

Lemon Manicure
Squeeze the lemon juice from the lemon half into the warm water. Soak your fingers in the lemon water for 5 minutes. Then rinse and dry your hands. Push back cuticles, then cut and file nails. Then rub lemon peel against each nail. Buff nails with a soft cloth.
