Reusing Kitchen Cabinets in the Garage
Instead of spending hundreds on garage organization, I got kitchen cabinets from someone who was updating on freecycle, painted them white to match my garage and lined them up against the walls which already had built in cabinets by previous owner. . .

Fingernail Cleaner on Utility Sink
In my outdoor sink and in my laundryroom sink I glued a dollor store fingernail cleaning brush on the top inside edge with silicon. It never gets lost and it's easier to use.

Using Clear Plastic Jars
Use clear plastic peanut butter or other food containers for small craft items like glue sticks, buttons, beads, etc. or use them in the garage for screws, nails and other small hardware!

Put Lockers in Your Garage
If you're about to start or have in mind some future remodeling. This idea might be for you. In your garage, install built in lockers, one for each of your family members. So when they get out of your car, they can leave their jackets, backpacks, anything extra in the locker, rather than having to take on into your house and possibly leave or forget to take with them the next day.

Saw Blades in Record Album Covers
A good place to store saw blades is in unwanted record album covers. If you don't have any record albums just visit garage sales on Sunday when people are closing down their sale. You likely find someone will to give away some records.

Save Leftover Paint in Smaller Containers
To be thrifty with my storage space, I save the leftover paint in a small gladware type container rather than the large paint can. I write all important paint info (like the store, color name or mix, and room) on it with a sharpie. I just did touch ups in my kitchen with almost 2 year old paint, so I know it doesn't dry out. Organizing Small Objects
In your garage you have all these nuts, bolts, nails, washers, things of that nature. Get jars, baby food jars are great. Take the lids off and nail the lids to the ceiling beams of the garage over your work area. Fill the jar with one type of nut, bolt or nail. and screw the jar into a lid. Presto you just saved a whole drawers worth of space or counterspace. - Xerophyia

Garbage Can Organization?
Does anyone have suggestions for storage of outside garbage? We have a lot of squirrels and my teens don't always put the garbage in efficiently. I was thinking of some kind of little shed but am trying to keep the cost down as 4x8 pressure treated wood is about $25 a sheet-any thoughts?-thanks-marie de

Funnel Storage
If you use funnels in your garage or workshop for filling oil, gas, herbicides, pesticides, etc., you waste a lot of time and money if you clean them after each use. To prevent dust and insects from sticking to them, just put each one into a different color shopping bag and close them air tight with a twist tie. You can hang them up on nails by their handles, and even label each spot. By Helmut
