Organizing Email
I treat email just like a paper file. I don't like to let email pile up in my in box just like I don't like paper piling up on my desk. I make sure I file all email into one of the folders I have created. I also create filter that automatically files email from certain people in the appropriate folder.

Make A Cool Desk Blotter
I have a new "antique" desk with leather inlay on the top. However, I didn't want to scratch it. I also didn't wish to cover it with a traditional or plain desk blotter.

Mini Bulletin Board
I added a "mini" bulletin board above my computer screen. To make the small bulletin board, I covered a long strip of scrap foam with fabric using my glue gun. I then used sticky back velcro to attach it to the top edge of my monitor. Now I have a place to pin memos, passwords, etc. (I work at home so pinning up password is safe - don't do this in an office of course.)

Placemat Instead of a Mouse Pad
Here is a great tip to keep your computer keyboard area clean and tidy and save money too. Instead of wasting money on a mouse pad, go to the dollar store or somewhere you like, pick up one vinyl placemat and your mouse will still work out just great. If you have drinks there it makes the spills and heat from hot beverages from harming your work space. Easy to clean up too. Just swipe it with a damp cloth and then dry and your ready to go. Pick out a theme that goes with your room. By Henny

Floppy Disk Organization
If you are still using floppy's like I am, and store them in a floppy box you can't see what's on the floppy unless you take it out of the box. Using a black Sharpie, write on the metal edge, i.e. Thank you graphics, Good morning graphics, Jokes, Labels, etc. Easy to read at a quick glance stored in the box. By Syd
